Tyeshia Wilson
Tyeshia Wilson, City of DeSoto, Special Events Manager
Tyeshia joined the City of DeSoto as Special Events Manager in 2018. In this role, she oversees all special events activities within the nationally accredited and award-winning Parks and Recreation Department including Marketing & Communications, Community Relations, and Sponsorships; she has spent much of her career focusing on building strategic relationships, training, and development.
In fact, prior to joining DeSoto, she worked as a Development Specialist for The Salvation Army, where she leveraged fundraising initiatives to expand special events, local advisory boards, and community partnerships in support of a $13 million development budget.
Tyeshia is also the Founder and Executive Director of The Social Giving Experience - a philanthropic movement aimed at engaging and igniting the next generation of philanthropists. Tyeshia, a first-generation college graduate, received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington.
She is currently a graduate student at the University of North Texas at Dallas, pursuing a Master of Science in Public Leadership.

Kieshla C. Wylie
Kieshla C. Wylie is the inaugural principal of the Katherine Johnson Technology Magnet Academy, the first-ever elementary technology-focused magnet school.
Ms. Wylie has been an educator for over 17 years. Having served as a teacher, instructional coach, and administrator, Wylie has a track record of demonstrated success and achievement as evidenced in her recognition as a Campus Teacher of the Year, National Association of Black School Educators Teacher of the Year Finalist and, most recently, as a Dallas Independent School District Principal of the Year Principal’s Choice Award.
Ms. Wylie's passion for children goes far beyond the campus walls. She is known for establishing, implementing, and building relationships that foster security and love.

Nicole Henderson
Nicole grew up in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Skyline Career Development Center. She attended the University of Texas Arlington where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Management Information Systems.
Currently, she is pursuing her childhood dream as an artist and co-owns a mobile art painting studio, So Artsy The Social Art Experience based in DeSoto, Texas. Nicole is a wife and mother of three amazing children, one of which attends Katherine Johnson Technology Magnet Academy in the kindergarten program.
When she is not taking care of her family, Nicole enjoys reading, going to church, and painting. She has a passion for helping others and is excited about all the possibilities for KJTMA PTA!
TREASURER
Kayshellyn Lewis
Kayshellyn is a 15-year veteran Municipal Bonds Banker who works closely with municipalities in Dallas County, Collin County, Illinois, and Michigan to help them secure funding for various projects through the use of municipal bonds.
Kayshellyn believes in going the extra mile when it comes to her fiduciary responsibilities and prides herself on her ability to personalize every single financial transaction.
Kayshellyn received her MBA with a concentration Finance from Texas Woman’s University.
When not at work, Kayshellyn enjoys travelling, going to museums, singing, dancing, and spending time with her husband and their 9-year-old son.
